The past year has taught us many things. Among them are the healing and transformative power of the arts, and the necessity of connection for our collective well-being. This powerful show will be much more than a concert, it is sure to be a multisensory experience of words and music that will leave the audience deeply moved. Luminous will explore a specially selected collection of art songs by Black composers set to lyrics by Black writers, interwoven with the texts of prolific Black wordsmiths. Strung together as a collection of moments, each song will function as a peek into the innermost thoughts and emotions of the character, punctuated by words and enhanced by lighting displays. Inspiration. Transformation. Growth. Release. Peace. Deep Healing. Love. Awakening. Surrender.
