Shining A Light On History Through Song
In addition to her passionate performances of her standard repertoire, Stephanie has created three concept programs that specifically showcase the many contributions African Americans have made to classical music. Her sensitive choices lead the listener through highlights of the Black experience over the course of its history, telling the stories of those who lived through it and, by leveraging the power of music, found a way to express their otherwise unexpressable perspectives to the world.
